This belt was developed to improve engine fuel efficiency.

Friction loss due to belt bending and deformation is reduced by suppressing internal heat generation in the belt ribs, thereby improving the belt's transmission efficiency.

This belt, which also offers both noise resistance and Abrasion resistance, is widely used by automobile manufacturers.

Constituent Materials

    Low Friction Loss Belts

    (1) Fabric/Rubber
    (2) Tensile cord
    (3) Rubber : “Special” rubber that suppresses internal heat generation

Features

By using a special rubber compound and reducing the internal heat generation in the belt rib section, there is an approximately 25% reduction in friction loss compared to the conventional specification.

By comparing the images of the thermography (torque loss measurement conditions) after driving, it can be confirmed that the Low Friction Loss specification has low heat generation (i.e. low flexing heat generation).
